Jacques F. Bezou owns The Bezou Law Firm located in Covington, Louisiana. His practice focuses on legal and medical negligence, serious personal injuries, business litigation, and general civil trials. Mr. Bezou has had extensive experience in national class actions, including: In Re Plywood Antitrust Litigation; In Re Sugar East Antitrust Litigation; In Re Sugar West Antitrust Litigation; In Re Cement Antitrust Litigation; and In Re Gypsum Antitrust Litigation among others.

Mr. Bezou has won many million dollar plus jury awards, including: Blanchard V. Nopsi ($1.25 million); Brown v. Johnson ($1.5 million); United Group v. Vinson ($9.5 million); Stateler v. Al-Saef ($1.6 million); Guastella Equities vs. Rouse, et al. ($14 million); Williams v. Maritime Overseas Corporation ($2 million); Schlesinger v. Hertzog ($7.8 million) Garrett, Griggs & Stephen v. Harrahs Casino, et al. ($1.35 million). He has also been involved in multi-million dollar settlements of as much as $200 million.  In a recent bench trial, Swan vs. PCF, his clients were awarded $12 million.

Mr. Bezou earned his J.D. from the Tulane University School of Law in 1971 and is presently on the Tulane Law Faculty (Trial Advocacy).

He has lectured and litigated extensively in the field of legal negligence both at seminars and on television, has also lectured on business litigation and on suing government entities. He has been practicing law for over 37 years and opened his own law firm in 1981. He has also been qualified in Court as an expert in the field of legal malpractice.

He is a member of the Association of the Trial Lawyers of America, the Louisiana Association for Justice and served as a member of the President's Advisory Counsel of the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association from 1981 - 1982.
